Pastor
Pastor Joel Stiff was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He grew up in a home that was not a Christian home. While occasionally riding a bus to various churches in the Flint area, he never attended anywhere faithfully until he accepted Christ as his personal Savior in August of 1987 at the age of fifteen. Around the same time his mother rededicated her life to the Lord and his father and brother were saved. They all began to attend Landmark Baptist Temple in Flint. In 1989, Pastor Stiff began attending Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. It was there that he met and married his wife, Shannon Stiff. After college, they served on staff at the King’s Way Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia where he was an assistant pastor serving as bus director and youth director. In 2003, he, his wife Shannon and their two children, Nicole and Winston, came back to Flint to start Lighthouse Baptist Church.
